Before diving into troubleshooting, ask yourself:

  1. Did the app work before?
  2. Did this issue start after an update?
  3. Are other apps on your device working fine?
  4. Your answers will help narrow down the cause of the problem.

Step 1: Check Your Internet Connection

A poor or unstable internet connection is one of the most common reasons an app fails to load.

  1. Make sure your Wi-Fi or mobile data is turned on
  2. Try opening a website in your browser to confirm connectivity
  3. If using Wi-Fi, restart your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds
  4. Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data to see if one works better
  5. Move closer to your Wi-Fi router for a stronger signal

Step 2: Restart the App

Sometimes the app may have crashed silently in the background.

  1. Close the app completely (swipe it away from recent apps)
  2. Wait for 10–15 seconds
  3. Reopen the app and check if it loads

Step 3: Restart Your Device

A simple device restart can fix many temporary software glitches.

  1. Turn off your phone, tablet, or computer
  2. Wait for 30 seconds
  3. Turn it back on and try launching the app again

Step 4: Check for App Updates

An outdated version of the app may have bugs that prevent it from loading.

  1. Go to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)
  2. Search for the app and check if an update is available
  3. If yes, tap Update and wait for it to complete
  4. Relaunch the app after updating

Step 5: Clear App Cache and Data

Corrupted cached data can prevent the app from loading properly.

For Android:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Apps or Application Manager
  3. Find and select our Needle Expense Tracker
  4. Tap Storage
  5. Tap Clear Cache, then try the app again
  6. If the issue persists, tap Clear Data (Note: This may log you out)

Step 6: Check Your Device Storage

Low storage space can cause apps to malfunction or fail to load.

  1. Go to Settings > Storage on your device
  2. If storage is nearly full, delete unused apps, photos, or files
  3. Aim to keep at least 1–2 GB of free space at all times

Step 7: Uninstall and Reinstall the App

If nothing has worked so far, a fresh installation often resolves deeper issues.

  1. Uninstall the app from your device
  2. Restart your device
  3. Go to the App Store or Play Store
  4. Download and reinstall the app
  5. Log back in and check if the issue is resolved
